Roma made their first signing of the winter transfer window today: Robinio Vaz is already in the capital and will join the squad in the next few hours.

Now, some players need to leave Trigoria, and Tommaso Baldanzi could find a new team in the coming hours.

Several clubs had shown interest in the 2003-born player, and Fiorentina seemed to be in pole position to secure the former Empoli player.

In the last few hours, however, Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa have overtaken everyone else in the race for the Giallorossi attacking midfielder, and the former Roma coach is playing a key role in the negotiations.

In addition to Fiorentina, Hellas Verona had also set their sights on the 2003-born player.

De Rossi, after wanting him at Roma in the winter of 2024, is pushing to bring him to Liguria and has called the player to explain the project and convince him to sign with Genoa.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, the clubs have reached an agreement on a dry loan.

The player has already accepted the transfer and will be given the green light once Roma closes the deal for Donyell Malen.
