Gian Piero Gasperini spoke to journalists about Torino vs. Roma following the Giallorossi’s 0-2 victory.

“It’s clear that when things are like this and you have a player of this caliber, the team’s offensive ability increases. You always need to score two or three goals to get one. We created a lot and played with quality. It was a good sign.”

“Malen and Dybala’s connection? The first goal was extraordinary. Dybala also played a top-notch game. When things are completed later, everyone’s value is raised, and Paulo’s performance also improves. They have a very important technical language, and we’ll try to build on that for the next matches.”

“Malen being the right fit? I’d say yes, he has the characteristics I was looking for. He also has this ability to free himself, not with his back or his shoulders, but to move on the cut. He searches for the ball in the box with great quality and finishes with speed and power. These are essential qualities for a team like ours. If we can get him into the right conditions, he’ll score a lot of goals.”

“I hope he can play as a center forward for a long time and that we build a team that can exploit his abilities. We play so many games that he also has the versatility to play in other positions. He’s definitely a striker and should be used close to the penalty area.”

“Vaz? He’s got some great skills, he’s very young, he was born in 2007. It’s not easy to play in Italy, but the best way to develop him is to let him play. He’s got some great skills, he needs a lot of work, but he’s a good signing in the long run. We’ve made two signings, one now and one for the future. When things go like this, you feel supported.”
