Monday at Trigoria brought mixed news for Gian Piero Gasperini.

This morning’s tests on Mario Hermoso, who was substituted during the match against Torino, confirmed a grade II tear to the iliopsoas.

The Spanish defender will be sidelined for at least a month.

During today’s training session, the Spaniard underwent therapy.

However, the Giallorossi coach also received good news regarding Evan Ferguson.

The number 11 has recovered from the gluteal injury he suffered against Sassuolo and is available again.

The Irishman trained regularly with the group and is a candidate for a starting spot in the Europa League match against Stuttgart, Matchday 7.

Gasperini will be without Donyell Malen against the Germans.

The Dutchman, the key player in last night’s win, is ineligible for a call-up: UEFA regulations allow changes to the squad only at the end of the Europa League domestic phase.

Zeki Celik, forced to withdraw from the match against Torino shortly before kickoff due to a hamstring problem, completed individual training.

Meanwhile, Tommaso Baldanzi, Leon Bailey, and Stephan El Shaarawy trained separately, waiting for their full fitness.
