José Mourinho met with a group of Roma fans in Turin last night, on the eve of the Juventus-Benfica Champions League match to be played tonight at the Allianz Stadium.
The fans, who had remained in the city after last Sunday’s away game, had the opportunity to see the Portuguese coach leave his hotel despite the cold, wearing a tracksuit and short-sleeved jersey.
Mourinho stopped to chat with the players for a few minutes, expressing his appreciation for the surprise. When asked about the possibility of a return to Rome, the coach responded with a cryptic “You never know,” but it was clear how much the fans’ affection touched him.
“We had fun in Rome,” added the Special One, recalling the magical European nights he experienced at the Olimpico and away from home.
Even two years after his dismissal, the bond between Mourinho and Roma seems unbreakable, fueled by his recent victories in Europe, such as the Conference League victory in Tirana and the dramatic night in Budapest.
