Lorenzo Pellegrini, after an up-and-down start due to his recovery from a torn rectus femoris tendon, has taken over as a starter for this Roma side, finding consistency and leadership, becoming increasingly central to the team’s playing career.

A significant and constantly increasing statistic, his assists, testifies to this progress, placing him among the greats of Roma’s history.

According to Transfermarkt data, the milestone was reached in the match against Cremonese, on matchday 26 of Serie A.

With his assist for Bryan Cristante, Pellegrini provided his 61st assist for Roma, becoming the second-highest assist provider in Roma history.

He surpasses Daniele De Rossi, who stands at 60.

Only Francesco Totti, the unrivaled leader with 205 assists, remains ahead of him.

This is a testament to the former captain’s greatness and the profound impact he has made on the club’s history.

But Pellegrini didn’t stop there. In the last match against Juventus, he provided another assist, one for Evan Ndicka’s goal, bringing his total to 62 career assists for Roma.

In a crucial season for securing a Champions League spot and with the race for the Europa League still in full swing, the number 7 has taken center stage for his legacy in Roma’s history.
