Inter are ready to return to the hunt for Manu Koné in the next summer transfer window, after last season’s attempt.

The Nerazzurri intend to overhaul their midfield, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s departure on a free transfer already confirmed, and the departures of Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu are not ruled out.

The French midfielder from Roma, reports Sky Sport Switzerland, is the main target to strengthen the midfield, but the deal promises to be complicated.

The Giallorossi are unwilling to let him go easily and are asking for at least €40 million to release him.

Despite the difficulties, Inter is maintaining active contact with Roma, driven by the promise made during the summer negotiations: the Roma officials assured Koné that, should a top club make a suitable offer, they would not stand in the way of his transfer.

Today, the player seems more inclined to consider a transfer.

Alternatively, Inter has set its sights on Parma’s Mandela Keita, but Koné remains the primary target. Negotiations with Roma, though complex, remain the priority for the Nerazzurri.
