Friedkin was furious after Roma’s humiliating 5-2 defeat to Inter.

The next day’s message was unequivocal: everything was up for discussion, with Cristante and Mancini’s contract renewals suspended, despite Massara already having three-year agreements with both.

The Texans contacted Ranieri and the Giallorossi sporting director, who were in Milan, to impose a tough line.

In short, June will be a revolution. Roma has regressed after Gatti’s goal, and their defense, which went from being the best in the top five leagues, has become easily penetrated: 16 goals conceded in the last 12 league games.

After the humiliation suffered against Inter, the Friedkins’ message is clear: it’s going to be a revolution. The irritated owners, unless they change their minds between now and the end of the season, have a long list of departures in mind.

As Corriere della Sera reports, 12 players are expected to leave: the four on loan—Tsimikas, Zaragoza, Ferguson, and Venturino—and those whose contracts are expiring—Celik, El Shaarawy, Dybala, and Pellegrini, joined by Cristante and Mancini, who are now available for sale, as are Rensch and Dovbyk.

A very long list of 12 players. A true revolution ahead of next season. If attractive offers are received, even the departures of the big names—Svilar, Ndicka, Pisilli, and Koné—can’t be ruled out.

It seems like a déjà vu compared to what happened at Como last season. After the Sinigaglia defeat, Ranieri strung together 19 consecutive unbeaten results, which appeased the owners.

Now, everyone is under scrutiny, including the Roma trio: Ranieri, Massara, and Gasperini, even though they’d like to start over with the Grugliasco-born coach.
