Ziolkowski could leave Roma this summer.

The Polish defender hasn’t been getting much playing time in recent games and is the last center back in Gasperini’s pecking order after Mancini, Ndicka, Hermoso, and Ghilardi.

Born in 2005, he has started eight games, five of them in Serie A, accumulating 700 minutes this season, including a goal against Panathinaikos, which was crucial to avoiding the Europa League play-offs.

As reported by Sport.pl, a source close to the player said he wants more playing time, also to become a more central midfielder for the national team, which is why he’s considering leaving the capital.

Ziolkowski has attracted the attention of several clubs.

A source close to the player reportedly emphasized that the 2005-born player is satisfying Gasperini: “He’s not disappointing the coach. He’s training very well, has the best physical results of his career, and has worked hard.”

The Polish defender’s performances have reportedly sparked interest from several clubs, including Newcastle. Italian, French, and Dutch clubs are also said to be pursuing the former Legia Warsaw player.

Ziolkowski is seeking playing time and appears to be considering leaving the capital: “The national team is very important to Jan, as is playing for Roma. He wanted to help the national team in the playoffs, but due to his limited playing time, that wasn’t possible. Playing for the club is crucial in this context. We are evaluating every possible solution to allow Jan to play regularly, including his departure.” This is what those close to the player said.
