Roma remains fully in contention for a Champions League spot, despite their recent misstep in Milan.

The situation, at least mathematically, remains open: a win against Pisa and a simultaneous defeat for Como against the Nerazzurri would bring the Giallorossi to within just one point of fourth place with six games remaining in the league.

The standings, however, are of relative importance at this stage.

The primary concern is the need to regain momentum after a performance that showed a team far from the one seen in the first half of the season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Gian Piero Gasperini remains confident of finishing the season on a high note, following a similar path to his years at the helm of Atalanta.

The coach has worked on the squad’s cohesion, also addressing the emotional aspect, and reiterating to the players that their season’s performance cannot be considered compromised after the 5-2 defeat against Inter.

With two days to go before the match against Pisa, now considered crucial, the coach has focused primarily on the mental aspect, while also seeking to restore solidity to areas such as the defense, which have struggled in recent matches.

Despite the critical issues and numerous absences—including Artem Dovbyk, Evan Ferguson, Manu Koné, Wesley, and Paulo Dybala—the coach’s position remains unchanged: the Champions League objective is still within reach.
