Roma is preparing to reshape its attacking lineup and is firmly focused on Victor Muñoz.

Sporting director Frederic Massara, already working on Alajbegovic, has identified the Osasuna right-back as the ideal candidate to boost the squad’s technical potential.

According to Spanish news program El Chiringuito, the Giallorossi have already submitted a significant financial offer to both the player and his entourage.

Roma is reportedly willing to pay a fee close to €40 million, the equivalent of the release clause in the 2003-born player’s contract. Born in Barcelona and raised in La Masia, Muñoz had a stellar season in Pamplona.

Six goals and five assists in a league season he played almost entirely earned him a debut for the Spanish national team, including in friendlies against Egypt and Serbia.

Despite Roma’s pressure, the deal remains complex. Muñoz previously played for Real Madrid, a club that retains a buy-back option on him.

Under the agreements reached last summer, Osasuna is obligated to inform Los Blancos of every official offer received.

From that moment, Florentino Pérez’s club has 48 hours to decide whether to match the offer and bring the player back to Madrid. The winger—who would like to remain in Spain, specifically at Barcelona—has taken the time to evaluate his options.
