The separation between Roma and Frederic Massara now seems imminent.
After weeks of rumors and leaks, confirmation has arrived from Fabrizio Romano: the relationship between the Giallorossi club and the sporting director has reached its end, with his departure likely to be formalized soon.
The decision is said to be based primarily on a technical vision never truly shared with Gian Piero Gasperini.
The director and the new coach have apparently never developed the necessary chemistry to build a solid project together, an element deemed crucial by the owners ahead of next season.
The official announcement could arrive in the next few hours, coinciding with Ryan Friedkin’s return to the capital.
The club’s vice president returned from the US to meet with Gasperini and begin planning the club’s immediate future, including contract renewals, transfer strategies, and new management choices.
Meanwhile, potential successors to Massara are already being evaluated. Among those being considered are Tony D’Amico, Giovanni Manna, and Cristiano Giuntoli, all prominent names for the role of sporting director. At this time, however, a final decision has yet to be made.
