Roma are back in the Champions League.
After last year’s disappointment, when they missed out on a spot in Europe’s premier competition by just one point behind Juventus, this time the Roman club lived up to expectations and finished the season in third place.
Among the standouts this season was undoubtedly Mile Svilar, who was named the league’s best goalkeeper for the second year in a row.
The number 99, with the help of his teammates, managed to keep 18 clean sheets: only four other times in the club’s history had something similar happened. Roma, in a video published on X, wanted to pay tribute to the Giallorossi defense.
The short clip shows Svilar and Ndicka congratulating each other after the Verona-Roma match. “18 clean sheets, that’s him, that’s him alone,” says Ndicka. “That’s not true: Evan, Mancio, Mario, Ghila, me, that’s them,” replies Svilar.
