Roma is called upon to re-establish contact with Zeki Çelik’s entourage, another matter that has been pending for the past few weeks.

The Turkish full-back, who will be playing for his national team at the World Cup in a few weeks, is one of the areas the club will need to clarify ahead of next season.

According to Il Tempo, initial discussions between the parties in recent months quickly stalled due to a significant gap between supply and demand, effectively freezing any possibility of a contract extension.

This stalemate forced the Giallorossi management to stall, postponing any final decision until later in the season.

Now, however, with the summer schedule approaching and technical evaluations underway at Trigoria, the situation is set to be reassessed.

Roma will reconvene with the player’s agent to understand their respective intentions and determine whether they can rekindle the dialogue, or alternatively, explore different scenarios for the future.

Çelik’s position therefore remains open and must be monitored closely.

The Giallorossi will have to decide whether to continue working with the defender or explore alternative solutions to strengthen their defence.

Further contact is expected in the coming days, which could prove crucial in reopening negotiations that have been stalled for months and clarifying his future in next season’s squad.
