After the Vaz deal in January, the Roma-Marseille relationship is set to remain buoyant in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Giallorossi have identified Mason Greenwood as the ideal addition to strengthen their attack and provide Gasperini with the winger he’s been hoping for.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, the 2001-born Englishman isn’t the only player from the French club Roma have their eye on.
In addition to him, Igor Paixao, a Brazilian winger formerly of Feyenoord, is also particularly interested at Trigoria.
Already linked to the Roman club in previous transfer windows, the 2000-born player is coming off a season in which he scored 12 goals and provided six assists across Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Champions League.
For Greenwood, Marseille is asking around €50 million, with Roma reportedly willing to go as high as €40 million, including bonuses.
For Paixao, who arrived last summer from the Netherlands for €35 million, the asking price is expected to be lower than that of the former Manchester United player.
