Alejandro Garnacho will not wear the Chelsea jersey next season.

The Argentine is out of the plans of new manager Xabi Alonso, who confirmed in his presentation press conference that he will not be targeting the 2004-born player.

The Spanish coach said: “Several clubs are interested in him,” and as is well known, Roma is among them.

The Giallorossi have set their sights on the former Manchester United winger to strengthen the attacking line of Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

At the moment, however, the Blues’ demands are prohibitive for the Roman club, which is working to close the gap with the English club.

“I hope this story ends well for everyone,” Alonso added, closing the door on a possible reinstatement.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Roma, despite Chelsea’s shocking demands, are continuing to work to close the deal. The Argentine would like to move to the capital, but for that to happen, an agreement on the terms is needed.

The English club is confident that other clubs will be willing to meet their terms. The Roman club is trying to reach an agreement based on a loan with a conditional obligation, a situation that will need to be monitored.
