Roma wants to be ready for the start of the season and is stepping up its work on the transfer market.
With less than two weeks to go until their Serie A opener against Fiorentina, the Roman club is aiming to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with new attacking players.
The name currently focusing the management’s attention is Rodrigo Mora, a 2007-born Porto talent considered one of the most promising prospects for the future.
The young attacking midfielder has reportedly already reached an agreement with Roma on a five-year deal, following initial discussions in recent days.
The Portuguese club, however, does not appear willing to part with their star player easily. In recent hours, the possibility of including a buy-back option in favor of the Portuguese club has emerged: a deal similar to that of Nico Paz to Como.
Among the options being considered at Trigoria is a formula that would allow Roma to spread the financial investment over time.
Specifically, Il Tempo reports, work is underway on a €25 million deal plus 50% of the future resale value to Porto, with the possibility for the Portuguese club to obtain further financial benefits at a later date.
