Bryan Cristante has started the season well for Roma.
After excellent performances in the opening rounds, the No. 4 also scored the Giallorossi’s first goal in their return to the Champions League.
The midfielder spoke to Sky Sport after the match. The Roma captain first highlighted his strong performance in Europe: “An excellent, high-intensity performance. We controlled the game and attacked in the second half as well. It’s a shame we conceded.”
Cristante commented on his goal: “It was an important goal, for the atmosphere and everything. It’s a shame about the draw; we’re going home with our heads held high.”
He then highlighted his team’s strong start in Istanbul: “We started off determined, we’re waiting for the next one to make up for it.”
It would have been important for Roma to start with a win, but they still have a long way to go. Their next match will be against Real Madrid at the Olimpico on October 14th, and the Giallorossi will give 100% to try to give their fans a magical night.
