A few minutes before Fenerbahce vs. Roma, Devyne Rensch spoke to Sky Sport about the Istanbul match.
The Dutch full-back will start on the left flank in the Giallorossi’s first Champions League match in seven seasons.
His words: “I hope it’s a good match. There’s no doubt that Fenerbahce are a good team with quality players. They’re good both defensively and offensively. We need to be ready and up to the task. We are, they’ll start strong, and we should be strong for this and for the match that awaits us.”
The Dutchman then shared his feelings about working with Gian Piero Gasperini and the new style of play: “Good, very good. I like it a lot, and so do the other guys in the locker room. The most important thing is always winning, of course. The whole team, and I personally, are very happy.”
Finally, a word about compatriot Marten de Roon, with whom Rensch had previously shared the national team locker room: “Very good, I’ve already played with him for the national team and I’m happy with his arrival. I think he can be a big help to this Roma team, both on and off the pitch. I’m very happy he’s joined us.”
