Gasperini also spoke at a press conference on the eve of the match against Fenerbahce.

The coach then said of his opponents: “We must have great respect for our opponents. They have very important players. We must be confident that we can play to our full potential. We must have confidence in our abilities. Fenerbahce have a very deep squad; they won’t pay dearly for the absences of Asensio and Guendouzi. We’ll face a very strong Fenerbahce.”
Regarding playing time management, Gasperini said: “Now we have more games. After the international break, we’ll have many more. Substitutions are crucial. But this year we have the opportunity to play more players. Now we can bring in new solutions without losing quality.”
He then focused on Dybala: “Dybala is proving his worth. The level he’s reached this early season is the best he’s seen in recent seasons. He has extraordinary consistency, and with him, we’re stronger.”
