“Gasperini always wants to play up front; it’s difficult to do that so often. But it’s fun to play with this philosophy,” Rodrigo Mora said after Roma-Cagliari, a match in which he scored an unexpected header.

And he hasn’t stopped since: he also scored against Udinese and put on a show for 45 minutes in Manchester, providing a great assist for Matias Soulé.

And Gasperini spoke about the Portuguese talent in one of his press conferences: “He’s a very talented young player. He needs to be more complete physically and tactically. He’s only recently arrived, but what he’s shown, whether from the start or during the game, is that of a top-class young player. I don’t think there’s a young player in the world more capable of being a protagonist than him right now.”

Today – November 6 – Mora received his first call-up to the Portugal senior national team. A decision that comes at the end of two dream weeks. Now, the Portuguese player faces Sassuolo, hoping to establish himself in the Giallorossi squad.

The 2007-born player wants to prove that his switch in Manchester was a bad choice. Gasperini still has some final doubts to resolve, but the attacking trio could once again consist of Soulé, Donyell Malen, and the number 86. The latter will try to make his mark with an assist or a goal.
