Roma approaches their match against Sassuolo with a crowded infirmary and several lineup questions for Gian Piero Gasperini.

Tomorrow night’s match at the Stadio Olimpico, against the team coached by former Giallorossi player Alberto Aquilani, will be the Roman side’s ninth match in just 27 days.

Certain absences include Mile Svilar, Devyne Rensch, and Paulo Dybala, with the Argentine continuing his individual training program in the last session as well.

The medical staff’s main focus is on Manu Koné’s condition, as he will try to recover at least for the call-up against the Neroverdi.

As reported by Il Messaggero, the French midfielder underwent personalized training yesterday and will undergo a crucial test today to assess his chances of returning.

According to Leggo, the player would like to return immediately to Gasperini’s disposal and subsequently answer the call-up to the France national team. Roma, however, prefers to maintain a cautious attitude, considering the long period of inactivity and the repercussions that have affected the midfielder’s recovery.

Pierluigi Gollini’s availability also remains uncertain, having been sidelined by a back problem that prevented him from participating in the Champions League away match against Manchester United. At Trigoria, medical staff are resorting to infiltrations in an attempt to allow the goalkeeper to recover in time for the match at the Olimpico.

His condition will be monitored until the final hours, but Devis Vásquez remains ready to start. This would mark the Colombian’s return to Serie A since his last appearance, on May 25, 2025, when he wore the Empoli jersey.

There are no particular concerns regarding Gianluca Mancini, who did not participate in the resumption training session due to a simple workload management issue.

The defender remains available and will compete for a starting spot alongside Balerdi ahead of the match against Sassuolo. Gasperini will therefore have to resolve several doubts before finalizing the starting eleven, especially in midfield and goal.
