Roma have been quick in denying a report from Il Corriere dello Sport, which stated Thomas Vermaelen could require surgery.
The club released a statement via Roma Radio claiming the defender doesn’t need surgery, however, several specialists have been summoned by Roma and they will decide the best route for recovery.
