Just days after proclaiming he’d be honored to play for Argentina, the national team future of Federico Fazio is now in serious question.
Speaking today, Argentina manager Edgardo Bauza was asked about Argentines in Serie A and replied:
“For now, I won’t call Icardi, but anything can happen at any moment. Meanwhile, it’s possible I will call Fazio.”
The former Spurs defender, who has been Roma’s best defender this season, has only appeared for Argentina in two friendlies, the Olympics, and U-21 set-up, meaning he could switch allegiances to Italy due to his heritage should he choose to do so.
