Report: Roma-Chelsea agree to Dzeko, Emerson deal

John Solano

Il Tempo (Menghi): There we are. Roma and Chelsea have found the agreement on the transfer of Dzeko and Palmieri: €50 million plus €10 million in bonuses, the deal between the clubs is closed. The last piece that is still missing is the “OK” of Edin, who accepted the Chelsea project and is willing to move to London, but is dealing with the Blues to define his wages. Agent Silvano Martina met him today at his hotel in Milan to help manage these talks. No exchange is expected between the clubs, Belgian striker Batshuayi will not be part of the agreement: the Giallorossi will earn cash and are ready to reinvest a portion of the “plusvalenza” on a substitute for the attack. Monchi has been visited by many agents today throughout the day and is working on the future. Dzeko and Palmieri, now, are part of the past: the farewell is a matter of hours away as only minor details must now be worked on between the Bosnian and Chelsea.
