Gianluca Di Marzio has released an update on Roma’s pursuit of Steven Nzonzi. Reportedly, the Giallorossi have had contact with Sevilla in the last hours as Roma continue to work to try to bring the Frenchman to Italy. The negotiations are heating up as the parties are slowly bridging the gap between offer and asking price: the two sides, though, have yet to finalise an agreement and will need an extra bit of effort. Roma are pushing a lot despite the difficulties of this negotiation, with the Giallorossi wanting to gift Monchi a player he knows well and Di Francesco with a reinforcement in the midfield.
