After having left the club last summer, Sky Sport reports that Stephan El Shaarawy has requested a return to AS Roma.
Reportedly, the Shanghai Shenhua striker has expressed in the last few days his eagerness to return to Italy after his experience in China. Roma haven’t yet opened talks for the attacker and are still pondering the feasibility of the deal.
However, El Shaarawy’s high wages could be a stumbling block to a potential reunion.
