After Roma, Pallotta now selling shares in Boston Celtics

John Solano

Just a few days after having officially sold his majority stake in AS Roma to Dan Friedkin, Sportico has reported that James Pallotta is selling his minority shares in the NBA franchise Boston Celtics.

The 62 year-old is, reportedly, selling his 8% stake in the team to Steve Pagliuca, who is already a managing partner and executive committee member of the team.

Pallotta is expected to see a significant profit from his investment — Forbes values the American franchise at $3.1 billion, ranking them fifth in the NBA.

It remains to be seen if Pallotta will reinvest his earnings into a sports franchise, but a source close to the Bostonian maintains he would be interested in getting back into the footballing world following his sale of the Giallorossi.
