Roma continue to eye reinforcements for manager Paulo Fonseca and one of the roles they may look to fill is the right back position.
Today, Italian sporting director Andrea Berta of Atletico Madrid spoke to German outlet, Kicker, and revealed that his side are engaged in negotiations with several clubs, including Roma, for the sale of right back Santiago Arias.
“For Arias we are talking with Roma, Everton, and PSG, but not with Bayer Leverkusen,” stated Berta.
“A loan with an obligation to buy after 10 appearances is a possibility”.
The Colombian joined the Spanish side in the summer of 2018 and has made 51 appearances under Diego Simeone.
