Diawara ruled out of today’s Coppa Italia clash due to injury, not transfer market related

RomaPress Staff

RomaPress – Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara has been ruled out of today’s Coppa Italia clash against Spezia due to injury.

The former Napoli man was set to make his first start in over one month this evening against the Ligurian side in the Giallorossi’s opening match of their domestic cup campaign. The midfielder, though, will miss out on the affair after he tweak a muscle in his left leg.

There were whispers that Diawara’s exclusion from this evening’s fixture could be connected to the transfer market after rumors increased within the last few days that he could leave the club this month.

A member of the Diawara’s entourage, though, has confirmed to RomaPress that he will be held out of tonight’s match due to injury and not because of any transfer market related negotiation.
