Roma defender Marash Kumbulla was thrilled with the Giallorossi’s defensive display in their 3-0 hammering of Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Albanian international put in a strong performance against the Ukrainian side as the Giallorossi registered their fifth clean sheet in their past ten matches.
“Tonight we defended all together and this really helped,” he said. “Shakhtar have proven all season that they’re a very strong team.”
“In fact, we also pressed really well, especially their defenders. This is what the manager asked of us and I think it was a good move.”
He continued, “Every week we work on the details, we must continue to improve.”
