Roma attacker Justin Kluivert admitted today that he’s hoping to extend his stay at RB Leipzig.
The Dutchman joined the German side last summer on a one-year loan deal after losing his place at Roma under now former manager Paulo Fonseca.
The recent arrival of José Mourinho at Roma led many to believe that Kluivert could be given a chance at redemption in the Italian capital.
Despite the arrival of the Portuguese technician, though, the attacker is keen to remain in the Bundesliga.
“I’d like to stay here in Leipzig,” began Kluivert when speaking to ESPN.
“The club plays in the Champions League and I feel good here in Germany. I like the league and the team, plus I’ve already spoken to the new manager, Marsch.”
“I feel it went good and I hope he thinks the same. However, I still have a contract with Roma, we’ll see what happens. I haven’t talked to Mourinho, maybe he’ll call me but has hasn’t yet,” he concluded.
