According to Sky Sport, both the player and the Italy coach are waiting to hear about Matteo Pessina’s conditions.
Pessina walked off injured during tonight’s game between Atalanta and Milan.
In case Pessina’s injury is serious, Mancini is expected to give Zaniolo the green light to join the rest of the Italy squad for international duty.
