Roma monitor defender Facundo Medina of Lens

Andy Mattioli

As the January window nears its end, the Giallorossi continue to stay active on the market with reports claiming that General Manager Tiago Pinto will spend the remainder of the week in Milan working on player exits and talking with agents.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Portuguese director is also involved in meetings related to the summer window. Pinto reportedly met with Marcelo Simonian, prominent agent of ex-Roma player Javier Pastore among others.

The newspaper claims that Roma may be interested in one of Simonian’s clients, namely Facundo Medina of Lens.

The 22-year-old Argentinian defender can play both as a centre-back and left-back and has already represented his national team. His current contract with Lens is set to expire in 2024 and the Giallorossi may use this to their advantage.
