Earlier today it was reported that Roma attacker Nicolò Zaniolo had left Italy’s training camp after only a few days at Coverciano.
The 22-year-old clarified the reason behind his exit from international duty in a recent Instagram story.
“Due to a blow to ankle I suffered in training I’m forced to leave the national team!”
“Now it’s time to recharge the batteries to start next season in the best way possible,” he wrote.
