Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali shared insight into the negotiations between the Neroverdi and Roma over the potential transfer of Davide Frattesi.
“Roma and Sassuolo have made great deals together in the past,” he told Sky Sport. “There is great respect with the capital club, we have an excellent relationship with them.”
“If there is a desire on the part of Roma to buy Frattesi, that’s great. But we also consider him a young man with great potential. We assigned a specific value to him and there is still some distance.”
Carnevali also highlighted the possibility of including one of Roma’s Primavera players in the deal for Frattesi.
“We talked about some of the younger players and Roma have many talented ones. We’ll see what happens. Selling Frattesi is not a necessity, it’s also important for us to talk about the possibility of acquiring some young players from Roma.”
