Former Milan and Italy manager Arrigo Sacchi sounded optimistic about Roma’s upcoming campaign, labelling them next season’s surprise among the other league favourites.
“I think Mourinho’s Roma could really be the surprise of the year,” Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sacchi then specified how last season’s success could boost the team’s chances going into 22/23.
“Mourinho did a great job last season,” he added. “He won the Conference League which could further fuel the way the team will approach this next campaign.”
