Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali briefly addressed the negotiations for Davide Frattesi with Roma, who have been in talks for the Italian midfielder since the start of the summer window.
“We’ve spoken to Roma since our last interview,” he told Sky Sport. “However, for the moment the deal is on hold.”
“Our demands are different compared to what Roma are offering.”
“We have already lost Scamacca, we want to retain our better players even if we have made several signings. We want to build a great team for this new campaign.”
