Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri was recently asked to comment on his relationship with José Mourinho and the effect of coaching opposing teams in the same city.

“I like Mourinho,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

“The differences depend mainly on the starting point, on our different origins,” he added.

“I grew up among amateurs, people of another level. To win, I had to come up with good solutions to compensate for the limits of the individuals at my disposal.”

“Mourinho started at Barcelona and invested a lot in the quality of the players. There is a big f*cking difference between working at Stia and Barcelona.”

Then, Sarri was asked about the teams he considers favourites to win it all next season.

“Juve was strong even last year. I consider Inter the main candidate for the Scudetto, but Roma’s recent transfers changes their goals.”

“Wijnaldum, Belotti, Dybala. Liverpool’s Wijnaldum is a very strong player and Dybala was exceptional with me. Milan can win again if they retain the same spirit of the past season.”
