Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto addressed questions related to Roma’s search for an additional defender on the free agent market and touched upon the situation around Zaniolo’s renewal minutes before kick-off to Udinese-Roma.
“I already explained everything in a press conference on Friday,” Pinto told DAZN. “And mind you, I don’t like doing interviews or press conferences.”
“The market is closed and now we need to focus on these games before the break. I am confident that the results will arrive, I am tired of talking about the market.”
On Zaniolo, the Portuguese director remarked, “He has never been a problem for me, Roma have protected him and he knows it.”
“Last year was a recovery season, this new season will be important for him. I have an agreement in place with the agent regarding his renewal.”
