Real Betis legend Joaquin was interviewed after his side emerged victorious in last night’s Europa League affair at the Stadio Olimpico. The Spanish midfielder spoke about his friendly relationship with Roma boss Jose Mourinho.
“It wasn’t easy to beat a team like Roma,” Joaquin told Sky Sport. “We played an excellent first half and got three crucial points.”
“In the second half we suffered but we remained compact and that’s what matters. We deserved this result.”
“Mourinho? We share a very friendly relationship. We’ve known each other many years so tonight we hugged each other and joked around.”
