Roma are one of the clubs to have expressed interest in Atalanta’s 18-year-old defender Giorgio Scalvini who recently emerged as an impressive starter for Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to La Repubblica, General Manager Tiago Pinto has already inquired about Scalvini in recent weeks. The defender was responsible for scoring the winning goal against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico earlier in September.
The Italian newspaper reports that several other clubs are in the race for Scalvini including Inter, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Atalanta, however, do not seem intent on letting him go and are currently asking for around €20 million.
