Roma want to anticipate Solbakken’s original date of expiry of his current contract with Bodo/Glimt which corresponds to 31 December.
According to Corriere dello Sport, General Manager Tiago Pinto is engaged in talks with the Norwegian side to try and convince them to give Solbakken the green light to join his new teammates before the start of the second half of the season.
Solbakken – who signed with the Giallorossi on Monday – hopes to be at Mourinho’s disposal for Roma’s upcoming training camp in Algarve, Portugal. However, everything depends on whether Bodo/Glimt choose to do Roma a favour or not, considering the tense relations between the two clubs ever since they first met in the Conference League knockout round last season.
