Napoli have reportedly entered the race for Roma target Davide Frattesi.
Frattesi is Roma’s long-time target for Jose Mourinho’s midfield. The Giallorossi have been in talks with the player and his entourage for several months now, with Frattesi being extremely keen on returning to his boyhood club.
Napoli, however, have now entered the scene with concrete intentions of signing the Italian midfielder, reports Tuttosport.
Initially, the Partenopei were thinking of making a bid for Frattesi in June 2023, but given Roma’s interest in the player, Napoli could anticipate talks with Sassuolo already in January.
According to the Italian newspaper, De Laurentiis’ club could soon present a €25 million bid for Frattesi.
