Sassuolo manager Alessio Dionisi was asked about the rumours linking midfielder Davide Frattesi with a January move to Roma.
The Italian technician did not hesitate in giving a straight answer in the aftermath of a friendly match with Inter.
“Frattesi is still a Sassuolo player,” Dionisi told Sky Sport. “Sometimes things are spoken into existence by journalists who then hope to have things to talk about.”
“In reality, Davide is training as a Sassuolo player. It took us some time to mentally recover him after the summer camp. Fortunately he is a conscious lad. In the summer he looked like he was a step away from leaving us.”
