Jose Mourinho is considering resting his team captain, Lorenzo Pellegrini, in the upcoming weekend fixture at Spezia.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Pellegrini is not at his best due to slight issue in his calf which he played through in Roma’s most recent outing with Fiorentina.
However, over the past few days the Italian midfielder has been training separately in order to avoid contact and lessen the workload ahead of the weekend.
His status is doubtful for Spezia and could start on the bench.
