Nicolo Zaniolo i now being linked with a surprise January exit from the Italian capital following a difficult first half of the season.
The 23-year-old’s agents have initiated talks with Tottenham Hotspurs who are now leading the race for the Roma attacker, reports Italian journalist Iacopo Mirabella.
Spurs director Fabio Paratici is reportedly proposing a loan with obligation to buy based on number of appearances made or Tottenham’s qualification to next year’s Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund – who had also inquired about the player – have now bowed out of the race.
