Cremonese attacker Felix Afena-Gyan was asked to talk address Gini Wijnaldum’s return from injury as the Ghanaian youngster was the one responsible for fracturing the Dutchman’s tibia with a slide tackle during training in late August. A week later, Felix was sold to Cremonese.

“It was a great joy for me to see him again on the field,” Feix told Corriere dello Sport, while referring to Wednesday night when, on the occasion of Roma-Cremonese in Coppa Italia, Wijnaldum was present on the Giallorossi’s bench.

“I’ve told myself so many times that I shouldn’t have felt guilty because his injury was caused by a clash, not by an intentional foul of mine. Obviously, however, I was very sorry for Gini, who deserves the best and will be able to give Roma great help from now on.”
