Former Roma player and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek was – like many Roma supporters – disappointed with the team’s Coppa Italia elimination with Cremonese.
The Polish executive discussed the consequences of this lackluster performance in the long-term of Roma’s season.
“The exit from the Italian Cup is a disappointment,” he told Il Messaggero. “Roma cannot afford to be eliminated by Cremonese. Napoli also lost against the Grigiorossi, but the Azzurri can afford it as they are heading towards the Scudetto.”
“For Roma, who must finish fourth, the Coppa Italia should have been the main goal. The roster is not up to it? So what should Ballardini say?”
