It’s growing increasingly likely that Lazio striker Ciro Immobile will miss out on this weekend’s Derby della Capitale showdown as he continues to work of rehabilitating a muscle injury.
The veteran striker is still nursing a hamstring injury and he’s slowly running out of time to recover in time for the match. Though, a clear signal regarding his absence came this afternoon when it was revealed Immobile wouldn’t take part in their Europa Conference League showdown versus AZ Alkmaar.
Despite losing the first leg in Rome 2-1, Maurizio Sarri did not include Immobile in his list of call-up’s for tonight’s return fixture in the Netherlands.
