Former Roma striker Rudi Voeller discussed the upcoming Europa League tie with Bayer Leverkusen.
In an interview with Alfredopedulla.com, Voeller declared himself a Bayer fan – having worked there for several years as sporting director – despite being fond of his past with the Giallorossi.
“The inevitable has happened, my two favorite clubs will play against each other. My heart beats for Bayer Leverkusen in these matches, despite the closeness I feel for Roma and for the whole city, including through my wife Sabrina.”
“Roma have already won the Conference last year, so in case Bayer get through, it wouldn’t be too hard a blow for me.”
